Watch 7 not holding charge

I'm completely frustrated with the charging issues that the Galaxy watches have experienced. I haven't had my Watch 7 for 6 months yet; however, after this latest update, it won't hold a charge. The other evening a charge didn't last an hour, and most nights charges won't last 8 hours--even with "power saving" on. I have done everything to try to work around this problem, except for totally resetting the watch to factory settings. Please help.

Hi @KrisGS, thanks for reaching out to the Samsung Community. I hate to hear that your watch isn't holding a charge and would love to help further. I agree with the steps from @star50, I would absolutely suggest trying a factory data rest. You will want to back up your device so that you don't lose any important information and I will like below how to do this in case you need help.

Then of course to perform the reset you will follow these steps:

If you still continue to experience these symptoms, I would recommend a service repair or visit a service center for evaluation.

You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.

I don't know if this will help but here you go Immediate Fixes for Battery Drain

Restart the Watch: A simple restart can sometimes stop runaway processes.

Clear Cache Partition (Highly Recommended):

Turn off the watch.

Press and hold the Home (top) and Back (bottom) buttons until "Rebooting" appears.

Quickly press the Home button 3-5 times until the "Select Reboot Mode" menu appears.

Press the Home button to scroll to Recovery.

Press and hold the Home button to select it.

Use the buttons to highlight Wipe cache partition and select it.

Factory Reset: If clearing the cache does not work, a factory reset is often required to fix issues caused by major updates.

Enable Power Saving: As a temporary workaround, turn on power saving mode until a patch is released

Recent updates for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 are causing severe battery drain, with many users reporting their devices last less than 8 hours, and in some cases, less than one hour. Reports indicate this is a widespread issue frequently linked to a glitch in Google Play Services, which may be consuming a high percentage of the battery

Ok, rebooting and clearing cache didn't help.
