Watch6 sleep issues

I just upgraded to the Watch6, which I like, for the most part, but there are a couple of things I have questions about & I hope someone can help me with.

1st, when I wake up in the middle of the night, it doesn't recognize that I've fallen back asleep. I typically don't start my day at 1:30a or 2:30. I might be waking up to roll over, but at no point do I even get out of bed.
Does anyone know if there is a setting I've missed? I look back through the watch & wearable app settings but don't see anything. I've even done a reset - thinking my customization has broken something...

2nd, I was going to ask about the deep sleep not registering, but I found another post mentioning this and that it quit working in the watch5 after the last update.

So maybe both of these are in need of a patch and there isn't anything I can do at the moment. Or at least I hope - as sleep monitoring is very important in my life. Please Samsung...

I have the Watch4, but believe Sleep measurement is the same process for both.

Once enabled, sleep recording is automatic. Sleep is recognized by a low heart rate and lack of arm movement. The watch should go back to recording your sleep once both these conditions are met.Screenshot_20230918_111554_Samsung Health.jpg

Yes, I agree - and that's how my Active2 worked. But I remember waking up, sipping some water, seeing 2:something on the clock, I told myself - nope, too early and went back to sleep until a little after 5a when I got up for good. I checked my sleep record, showing I got up at 2:28a. (I took a screenshot, but it says I don't have permission to upload images.) for a total of 4h 44m - 0m deep sleep.

I know this information isn't 100% accurate. But my sleep apnea Dr told me it is a good resource. - however, I will admit I am not using "Sleep Mode" as I have family members with health issues, and I don't want my phone in DND. I also haven't had a chance to fully look into MODES, I just got the Watch6 a few days ago. I don't remember the Active2 having them, I do know I didn't need them before to record my sleep patterns.
