The watch normally receives updates for 2.5 to 3 years. Towards the end the updates are generally spread further apart.... You should receive updates at least up until the beginning of 2027.
My understanding is Samsung hasn't announced any official end of support date for this watch and it wasn't released with any official date for end of support. It also appears a Security update was released, at least in Korea, this month so you should get that. The update prior to this months was April 25. So you may luck out and get another security update next year.
It's not Tizen watch..it runs a very light weight version of FreeRTOS from my understanding.
Samsung has released a new software update for its latest fitness tracking band, the Galaxy Fit 3. This is the sixth software update since the device launched and arrives ten months after the previous update.
The latest Galaxy Fit 3 update, which is currently available in South Korea, carries firmware version R390XXU0AZA3 and has a download size of 17.42MB. According to the update's changelog, it brings the January 2026 security patch along with stability and reliability improvements.
The update is not yet available in markets such as Europe, India, and North America, but it could roll out to those regions in the coming days.
