Galaxy WatchHi everyone,
I'm curious about the upcoming Galaxy Watch Ultra (likely the 2026 model or refresh). Do you know if Samsung plans to make it sufficiently water-resistant and certified for recreational scuba diving to at least 40 meters?
I don't need full dive computer capabilities (like decompression tracking or advanced apps). I just want it to safely handle recreational dives up to 40m โ similar to what the Apple Watch Ultra offers with its EN 13319 certification and explicit support for that depth.
The current Galaxy Watch Ultra has a 10 ATM / 100m rating under ISO 22810, but Samsung explicitly states it's not suitable for scuba diving high-pressure activities, or freediving (even though the spec sounds promising on paper , Feels like false representation, thats real and serious bummer ).
The Apple Watch Ultra, despite a similar 100m rating, gets the extra dive accessory certification and official backing for 40m recreational use.
Has there been any rumor, leak, or announcement suggesting the next Ultra will close this gap (e.g., adding EN 13319 or similar dive-specific support)? Or is Samsung likely to keep the same limitations?
Thanks in advance for any insights or official info!
If not, I'm afraid I will have to switch to Suunto, Apple Watch, Garmin, or even Huawei.

Galaxy WatchI hope they add a scuba sensor. If they add that with water temp sensor Iโm switching all my apple devices to galaxy watches when they do. Thatโs the only thing holding me back from the galaxy world.
