I have noticed that no new phones have sd cards and want to formally complain. Samsung listen to community. We want sd card slot back. I would rather not go to a cheaper phone, but will if you can't give us what we want. I have not updated my phone for year now waiting. I was looking at getting fold z3 but no chance because no sd slot. I don't want this to become a value added exploit by you. I either want sd card or 1 terrabite at same price. We may accept lifetime access to unlimited cloud storage that allows instant access to all media at no cost from telecommunications carriers(impossible). No lag in loading.  If anyone else wants voice heard on this subject blessed let samsung know. They are trying to tell us what we want.

I would not count on them adding SD card, cloud storage is the way forward adding SD card is a step backward for a phone.

Hello,

Cloud storage is a poor implementation to the need for expanded storage, especially when compared to SD Cards.

I don't have a problem with Samsung getting rid of the SD card slot as long as the solution is better!  In the case of cloud storage the solution is EXTREMELY POOR to a complete FAILURE!

Why?

Cloud cost compared to SD card.  2TB on Google is $600/year.  2TB SD card is a one time charge of $500.  If you're going to be a business you're going to need the space year after year.  Cloud storage just keeps taking and taking!

Cloud storage is slow compared to SD Cards.

Cloud storage is more expensive in access (e.g. Carrier bandwidth) charges.  SD Cards are free to use after buying.  Carriers either reduce your speed or bill you through the roof.

Ethernet and WIFI doesn't help, as my boss says our ISP charges us by the Gigabyte uploaded or downloaded.

Samsung needs to look at the requirements for expanded storage and come up with a solution that works for both personal and business use.  The requirements would be:

1) Low purchase cost with no on-going/monthly costs.

2) Fast access (equal to or better than U3 or 10).

3) No ISP or Carrier charges.

4) No Carrier or ISP slowing the access (download or upload) for any reason.

SD Cards are a good implementation, but as long as Samsung meets these requirements the implementation doesn't matter.

I agree (see my other posting).  We need expanded storage and the implementation needs to meet certain requirements.
