Galaxy Z FlipHello, I can certainly understand how frustrating it is when your device is not working as designed. Since you have already exhausted all troubleshooting, the next step would be a service repair. Galaxy Z FlipMy Flip3 started with this issue today. When the phone is closed halfway or more and not plugged in, it shuts off. This happens in safe mode as well.
It does not happen when the phone is plugged in. That sounds to me like a software issue more than display issue. If it's hardware, maybe battery issue? I've seen similar posts on reddit and other sites, so it seems to be a growing problem.
