How to customize new android auto split screen view

Can anybody tell me how to have different panels on the new android auto split screen view? I would like to have maps messages and media if possible? Thanks anyone out there for your help.

How to do it is you hit the apps you want and open them go to the 3lines like you are going to.close all apps, press the one you want and pull it to the top screen, then you do it again. I hope this explains well.

Is this for android auto? It sounds similar to just android split screen?

I'm sorry I thought you were talking about your phone. I'm not sure how to do that on android auto.

Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to the top.

Open an app.

From the bottom of your screen, swipe up, hold, then let go.

Touch and hold the app's icon.

Tap the Split screen.

You'll see two screens. On the second screen, tap another app.
