Incoming text is sounding twice

I've had this problem before and was able to fix it, but now I can't remember what I did. When I receive a text, it is playing the sound twice. I have a Zedge sound downloaded for texts. Can anyone help?

Hi TrishBrake, Thank you for posting in the Community! We know how frustrating double the notifications can be. 

Have you tried clearing the app cache for the Messaging app you are using? https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077611/

You can also try changing the sound, rebooting the phone, and then change the sound back to your chosen tone.
