I know it's supposed to do that every so often, even with Smart Unlock (all options) enabled. However, in the last few weeks, it'll ask me for print/PIN multiple times in a row, forcing me to reboot it to get Smart Unlock to work again. So far this has happened twice in about the last two weeks.

Perhaps the new UI update is the culprit?

first all option enabled means detect body is enabled and that might be causing the issues. when ever you set your phone down it will lock even with the other settings enabled.

Thanks. After double checking my settings, I also found that Home had been disabled as a trusted place for some reason. It seems more normal now.

I'd disable this option

Sorry to resurrect this, but it's back to demanding fingerprint/PIN every time I open it now, even after disabling on body detection and adding Home back to trusted places. Any other suggestions?

Hi @silverwolf789, We definitely understand how frustrating it is to have to unlock your phone every time you open it.

There are some steps to try to correct this behavior.

1. Try clearing the app cache. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077611/

2. Clear cache partition and repair apps in the recovery menu.

To get to recovery mode:
- Turn off phone
- Once off, hold down volume up and power buttons simultaneously
- When Samsung logo appears, release power button BUT KEEP HOLDING VOLUME UP until the recovery menu appears
- Use volume buttons to navigate down to clear cache (NOT CLEAR DATA/ FACTORY RESET)
- Use power button to select.
- Run the repair apps option and your device will restart.
3. Perform a complete backup of your data and factory reset the phone. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/
If the phone continues to request sign-in, we recommend submitting an error report. https://www.samsung.com/latin_en/support/mobile-devices/how-to-report-error-using-samsung-members-ap...
