Is anyone else having issues running the Pokemon Go app on their phone? I used the app for about 15 minutes this morning with no problems. A notification popped from Samsung saying an update was ready to install on my phone (Galaxy S20). The update completed and now Pokemon Go keeps saying Unable to Authenticate my account (or any other). Another phone in the family (S20 Ultra) also had an update but PoGo runs fine, it's only me (2 other players in the house use S8 and S9 and have no issues either). I have force-stopped the app and cleared the cache. I have restarted the app and the phone. I have tried with wifi, 4g, and 5g connections. I have removed and reinstalled the app and the Google account. I used a different phone to link my account to Facebook. Nothing works. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've reached out to Niantic but they just sent me to an article telling me to do what I've already done. Since this happened immediately following a Samsung update, I am hoping someone on this forum is having similar issues and can find a fix. Thanks.
We experienced exactly the same; one S20FE working and the other wasn't. Tried and checked everything but nothing worked. Something was blocking pogo and we could not find out. Ended up with a factory reset and that worked.
Same issue here. S21 Ultra 5g. I have tried all the same troubleshooting steps that you've mentioned. I found your post when I googled for conflicts between the app and the phone 🙂
