Galaxy watch 6 was working fine for 2 days... Then completely quit taking or making calls and texts.
AT&T support states the galaxy watch 6 no longer supports stand alone... As of August 16th.... 2023.
Can this possibly be true ?

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that really probably can't be true. This forum (and others) would be 4-days full of LTE rage if that were the case...

Thank you for reaching out. I can certainly understand your concern with your watch not making or receiving calls and text. I would be happy to look into this further for you. Just to clarify are you talking about remote connection/standalone mode where you are using a Bluetooth watch when away from your phone or are you talking about the carrier LTE model watch?

Correct, the carrier LTE model, T-mobile is saying the same thing, that it can no longer work as stand alone.

Why is this no longer available?

Thank you for reaching out. I can certainly understand your concern with not being able to set your watch up as a standalone and I would be happy to look into this further for you. Galaxy Fit models and Galaxy Watches running Wear OS cannot be used without a phone. Give this link a try for more information on the setting up of watches without phones: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00078020/

I would also recommend reaching back out to your carrier, as they would be the ones to set up an LTE line for the watches.

I bought two of these in the past month and both of them acted the exact same way. Everything works including texting on the watch, but when it comes to sending or receiving a phone call from the watch as a standalone device, it tries to send out the call, but never makes a connection.

Hello, Welcome to the Community. We understand how disappointing it is to not be able to make calls from the watch.

Depending on your smartwatch, you can make and answer calls right from your wrist! You just need to make sure the watch is connected to your phone through Bluetooth or through a mobile network. With an LTE watch model, you can even handle calls remotely. This link provides information on this feature: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00061408/

This link provides some information on things that may interfere with the ability to make calls from the watch, as well as some troubleshooting steps. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01003245/

If these steps do not help, we recommend reaching out to your service provider for additional assistance.

If all efforts are not successful in resolving the matter, we recommend having the watch serviced. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by calling customer support at 1-800-726-7864.

I have a Gear S4 Classic watch. LTE/Bluetooth (Newest one) and it will not allow me to use with Xfinity mobile. It has been paired, I am paying for a extra line, but everytime I and Xfinity mobile try to connect to their service. I get the following message

"There aren't any mobile plans available for your mobile watch in your country "

Why?
