Gear and Gear FitHas anyone else experianced sudden drop in batery life with their Gear S3 since the January 2020 update.
My watch used to last a day and a half easy with always on display on but these days it won't go a full day with the battery optimised.
Is it the update that has caused these issues or has the battery just dies?
I've had the watch 2 years or so and I have never had these issues before.

Gear and Gear FitYes, I've noticed the same thing the past week. Turning off the "screen always on" option helped a little, but not much. I'm using the Frontier default watch face. I've turned off all notifications. I cleared all the cache, optimized battery, and cleaned up the RAM.
This happened a few months ago, but "magically" went away when I switched to the default watch face. I also replaced my own battery at one point, which seemed to correct the issue for 2 days, then went right back to draining fast. Samsung doesn't seem to have any answers; neither do any of the other users.
I'm using a Pixel 3XL. What phone are you using?

Gear and Gear FitTemporarily, for a couple of months. At least, that's the only real thing I did. Now I'm in battery save mode and it's still drained almost 20% in under 4 hours.

Gear and Gear FitI haven't even gotten an update since last fall. I'm on a Gear S3 Frontier LTE model with a Galaxy A51 Unlocked model.

Gear and Gear FitGuys I think I've cracked it.
I let my watch battery drain and left it dead for a day.
When I next charged it the battery went back to normal.
Letting it properly die must have done something

Gear and Gear FitHow do you get it to drain completely without having to place it on charge to start it back up?

Gear and Gear FitUpdated and now my watch doesn't last a day with everything turned off. This is horrible and the answer is repairs?? No this is a software problem and maybe this was done on purpose to force upgrades?! Bout ready to throw this watch in the trash.

Gear and Gear FitI TRIED A RESET, ONLY RUNNING ON DEFAULT WATCH FACE AND LET BATTERY DIE AND RECHARGED.
MY BATTERY LIFE IS GOOD FOR ONLY 4 HOURS THEN IT DIES.
WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY.
i HAVE THIER TV'S, PHONE , TABLET AND WATCH. THINKING OF GOING BACK TO APPLE AS MY WIFE HAS NO ISSUES WITH HER SMART 5 WATCH AND i PHONE COMBO.
