Gear and Gear FitMy Gear S2 (non phone version) has been running with no battery issues where it would last up to 36 hours. Bluetooth active, Sleep as Android etc. I started to get a cache full on my S7 in late January 2017 so I told it to clear cash and it seemed to start the problem. I did have music on my watch and had about 1 gb of memory left.
The battery started to last maybe 5 to 6 hours. I did a full reset/rebuild on the watch and went to base settings but it only added a couple of hours.
Based on use and past performance I have to believe that it was a recent update to either the watch or phone.
Please advise as to issue cause and how to restore the watch to it's former battery capacity.

Gear and Gear FitI also have the same issue!
SAMSUNG: OBVIOUSLY THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE
Why don't you admit this and UPDATE US on the progress for a fix?
Stop the runaround! Everybody who owns an S2 knows about the occassional day were the battery just randomly drains in the span of a few hours from 100% to 0% for no apparent reason.

Gear and Gear FitI have the same issue. I have had my watch for 4 days and i had to charge it 3 times in one day. Not a great selling point. I did a factory reset. Set it up with my phone and did not do the update. Then disconnected it from my phone. So far it's perfect. I messaged samsung and hopefully this helps.

Gear and Gear FitAt this point, Samsung should replace this product. I am going to blast this information to every blog, dashboard, and competitor possible until I get answers. People I know with Apple watches don't have this issue, why should Samsung. I paid too much $ to have this issue in such a short amount of time with this watch. If enough people in the public know this issue and stop buying this watch, then they will finally address the issue

Gear and Gear FitI came to this thread because I was having the same issues. When I realized that no one had a fix for the draining issue I contacted Samsung expert support in this app and after many different steps with an expert I believe my gear s2 has stopped draining the battery in four hours. I strongly suggest you talk to the experts.

Gear and Gear FitI am having this same problem. I have had my s2 for 2 years and no battery problems. Since Friday I get this white screen over the top and it flickers on and off and my battery is drained in 2-3 hours. It is paired with my Galaxy S6 and my watch does not have the phone capability.
What's the solution Samsung?

Gear and Gear FitThe one thing that I have done, because there is nothing official from Samsung, is to turn my watch off each night when I go to charge it. In the past few months the only time this didn't work is when I had to many pop-up notifications that kept coming on and because I had a customer visiting I just kept snoozing it. Otherwise, I am able to go a full day and sometimes extra when traveling.

Gear and Gear Fit--- This is NOT a device-end issue or there wouldn't be multiple users with same complaint. Obviously a firmware update broke it. Battery drain and constant BT disconnects not to mention it never reconnects after leaving and returning from phone range.

Gear and Gear FitI was having the same problem, so I tried draining the battery to zero and then recharging fully. It seems to have done the trick!
