Samsung gear s3 won't charge and turn on even with 80% battery

My samsung gear S3 stops working after the latest software update. It will work for 30 seconds in the charger and say it's 80% charge then when I turn it on it shuts off whenever I try to do something with it. Please help.

If your watch's battery is completely discharged, it will not power on. You'll need to charge it before turning it on. If the watch will not power on or if it doesn't seem to charge, the problem could be anything from the battery, connection, the charger, or the watch itself. join the club, it's a big software fiasco being brushed under the carpet. I like how they flagged it as Solved !! very sneaky ! a lot of posts regarding this issue have been flagged as solved.
