Sudden stop when using Samsung health and Spotify

I have been using my samsung Gear S3 frontier for a while now as of late I have had 3 instances where whilst on a run using the Samsung health application as well as listening to a Spotify offline playlist through my bluetooth earphones, a few KM (usually just after 1KM), everything stops, Spotify seems to remember the song I was playing and I can just press play, samsung health treats the sudden stop as though I've ended my workout (I can still go back and see stats for the 1KM completed) however I have to restart my run from Samsung health after this it seems to work perfectly fine (i've ran as much as 6KM after the stop without issues).

 

Before my recent run I made sure I did the below:

  • Install the latest software update for the watch
  • Update Spotify application
  • Update Samsung Health application
  • Restarted my Samsung gear S3 frontier

Did a run last week issue still persistant, scoured the net for solutions but unable to find anthing beyond "reinstall/update spotify" info, urg so close to selling it and getting a Garmin.
