Hello, we're excited to introduce Nearby devices, a feature that lets you view and connect to your devices at a glance, while exploring all the ways they can work together.

When your devices such as Galaxy phone, Tab, Book, Buds, Watch, Ring, and Samsung TV are signed into the same Samsung account and nearby, you can see them all at once through Nearby devices. From there, you can simply drag and drop to pair them and instantly check the features available to use.

How to use

① Open Nearby devices in the Quick panel → ② Check the list of devices available to connect in the bottom screen → ③ Drag devices to pair → ④ Check and run the available features among connected devices through a pop‑up window

Working conditions and settings

  • Each device must be signed in with the same Samsung account.
  • Wi-Fi and Bluetooth must be on.

Wondering when to use Nearby devices?

[When you want to explore all the available features between your devices]

Since available features vary by each Galaxy device when they are paired, you might want to see exactly how your Samsung devices can work together at a glance.

For example, if you have a new Galaxy Book, you might want to explore what features are available when it is connected to your Galaxy phone. Simply open Nearby devices on your Galaxy Book, then drag your phone onto the screen to view all available connection features and open them instantly.

Wouldn’t it be great to view, at a glance, the features available for each of your connected devices, such as your Galaxy Book, Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Watch, and Samsung TV?

Simply open Nearby devices to see what they can do.

[When you want to update the settings of Connected devices at once]

Activating Connected devices on two devices used to be inconvenient because it required manually adjusting settings on both devices. Now, you can simply open Nearby devices and tap Connected devices on one device, and it will automatically activate on your other device, too. Isn't that much more convenient since you no longer need to configure each device individually?

[When you want a faster and easier way to open Connected devices]

On your Galaxy phone, simply open Nearby devices and drag the TV icon to instantly connect to Smart View. If you mirror your phone screen to your TV often, try connecting through Nearby devices for a faster and easier Smart View experience.

[When you want unified control over your devices]

If you want to control your devices simultaneously with one keyboard and mouse, open Nearby devices and pair your devices using Multi control to easily manage all your devices at once. For example, you can multitask across your Galaxy phone, Galaxy Tab, and Galaxy Book simultaneously, managing every device easily with a single keyboard and mouse.

[When you want to easily save and share files between your devices]

When managing files across multiple Galaxy devices, you can simply open Nearby devices and use Storage Share or Quick Share for effortless file management. For instance, with Storage Share, you can browse and import photos taken on your Galaxy phone directly to your Galaxy Book or Galaxy Tab. You can also use Quick Share to instantly send files to other devices, making it easier to save and share files exactly where you need them.
