Another frustrated eARC customer

I recently purchased a Q7 QLED. I should have done more research before purchasing, but I assumed it would have eARC based on posts I saw online. Unfortunately, this does not seem to be the case. Considering the Q9 and Q8 models don't even have that, it seems unlikely that the Q7 model is going to get this via a firmware update. I'm assuming I'll get the standard "we can't speculate on future changes" response, but to me, this is kind of a yes or no question. My interpretation is that answer means "No".

 

Has there been any change on this subject? I've got a few weeks to return my TV, but would prefer to do it now if I can't get a definitive answer.

Did you ever get an answer about this?  I'm hoping for a firmware upgrade as well.
