Anynet+ stops working

I have a UN65J6300 TV that I purchased a couple of years ago.  I love the TV, but just recently hooked up a Chromecast to it and began using the Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) feature in order to control the TV via Google Home voice through the Chromecast.  After plugging the TV in initially, Anynet+ will work for a short period of time (1-2 hours) but then it stops working.  To get it working, the TV has to be power cycled (unplug/plug it back in).  Needless to say, this defeats the purpose of using Anynet+ to control power to the TV.  Is there a fix for this or is this a hardware flaw in my set?

Is everything up to date on the television?  Is there a sleep timer on the chromecast currently?

TV is up to date and Chromecast continues to work to change channels and volume.  No sleep timer is set.

Which software version is running on the television currently?
