Glow spots - tv defective

Our 55" tv is just a few years old. We purchased because our family members have samsung, so we decided to get one. What a mistake. First one spot appeared on left side near center of screen,  over a few weeks another and then a third. It cost us $1,200.00 + from Costco. Replaced an older Vizio which we had for 12 years no problem. Once the samsung is ready for the trash, we're going back to the Vizio brand for reliability.

I think Vizio only started selling tvs 7 years ago, unless u managed to get your hands on an advanced copy. But unfortunately, anything with lights and wires and processors don't last forever. Could potentially just need a new light strip - could try contacting Samsung or a local repair shop for them to look at it.

Hello, Jimmy. If the spots are appearing on multiple sources, the unit may require service service. Please try going into your support menu and look for a picture test, If the glow spots appear in the picture test this is a definite service related matter.
