Have you tried unplugging the unit for about 5 minutes and plugging it directly into a wall socket, then trying again?

The TV is a lemon. If you're unable to return it through the store then use your warranty claim. That TV is a dud.

Looks like a back light issue.. too be sure, did you try unplugging it and plugging it back in?
