Does anyone know what, if anything, has replaced the HDMI-CEC (branded Anynet+) and will it allow my Samsung Smart TV remote to control my Samsung DVD player?
Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) has not been renamed, and is still on your newer television. As long as both devices and the HDMI cables are CEC compliant, the TV will send the control signals to the DVD player.
