LED TV

I have Model UE40C6530UK connected with air antenna and also cable via Virgin.  All has worked well for years but recently when watching via air antenna the signal instantly failed with resulting message "weak or no signal - check connection"s. Everything regarding aerial (indoor) and connections is fine but fault still persists.  Can something inside tv fail? All is still completely ok when viewed via Virgin cable so why not when from air antenna?

Anybody have an answer please?
