No picture on my UN55KS800D, all vertical lines

I was watching a game on live tv cable when the screen suddenly lost the picture but instead displayed vertical lines of different colors. I tried the "cold reboot" by unplugging the power off the wall outlet, disconnected all connections to/from the tv, rebooted the wireless router, but nothing worked. I even switched to YouTube (from cable tv) but nothing changed. I hear the audio although I don't know from what source as nothing shows on the screen but vertical lines.

I think I'd be calling Samsung support pronto. Vertical lines sounds like a description of how that TV makes the picture. And it's not working. 😐

Sad to say the TV might be dead. If it's not under warranty the cost to repair or replace it will be up to you.
