On my UN40M5300AFXZA, I have the optical connected to my surround sound (old Panasonic). When I put on an app on the TV, I cannot get sound out of the surround sound. I get sound when i change to TV sound. Any help?
this is going to sound basic and I mean no disrespect if you think i'm making fun. It is not my intention. I 've been trying to get my Sony reciver to output sound when connected to mt new Samsung q60. make sure receiver is turned on and optical is conected properly. go to settings/sound click on optical go to settings/sound/expertsettings/digital output audio format click on pcm. volume will not be adjustable with samsung remote and volume adjustments will need to be made with receiver. If anybody replies to me post i placed earlier I'll hit you back with more info.
