Remote is stuck in pairing mode, I'm a technician with geek squad and I have a client was able to use a smart TV remote on a t690, we tried pairing the remote and now it is stuck in pairing mode, is there a way to set the remote to do ir only

Hi there, Thanks so much for posting about this. I can definitely understand the frustration of not being able to complete the pairing process with your remote. I recommend following the steps in the link below to help with this. It has detailed steps on how to reset the remote, as well as additional troubleshooting steps for remote issues.

Once these steps are completed, if the remote is still not pairing properly, then I recommend purchasing a replacement remote through SamsungParts.com or by calling 1-800-627-4368. However, if this still does not resolve the issue, then the TV itself will require service. There are a few options we can take based on your warranty status. 

- If your unit was recently purchased, you can check with your retailer on their return/exchange processes.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service set up. 
- If you're within the one year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators or you can call in directly at 1-800- 726-7864 with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, you can use this link below to find a service center in your area.
