Samsung warranty isn't worth the paper it's written on! I bought a 50" Smart TV (UN50AU8000FXZA) and it's only 4 months into the 12 mo warranty.
After Quick Service determined it unrepairable, Samsung Support has stalled, delayed, and put me on hold for more than 3 hours. They offer to refund purchase $ through Samsung.com, but I purchased it on sale, so can't get the same model at same price. They offered to replace, but don't have the model in-stock. They won't just send a suitable substitute and now I'm S.O.O.L.
The brightness was uneven. Adjusting thr brightness and/or contrast have very little effect. The picture is very dark while viewing "night" scenes in movies or shows. The repair tech didn't have parts to fix and thereby deemed it "unrepairable".
