Purchased Samsung UN65KS8000 from Amazon March 13, 2017.
Last week while my wife was watching a movie, the picture went out and it appeared as if the TV was restarting repeatedly.
Now when you plug it in, it simply flashes on for a few seconds and then turns off and repeats until you unplug it.
Unplugged it overnight and unplugged all of the devices attached.
Plugged it in the next day. The red light comes on and you can turn it on with the power button or the remote. The backlight comes on but then turns off again. A few seconds later, the red light comes back on then turns off and the backlight comes one and then turns off.
This repeats until you unplug it. sometimes it will turn off using the remote as well.
This is the second Samsung fail and I am losing faith in the brand. My last 65" had the issue where we had to have all of the backlight strips replaced because the lens fell off...
Hello, I apologize for the power concern reported and located a troubleshooting article here- https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01001086/ to review. Regrettably, if the troubleshooting steps did not help and you are out of warranty, you can use this link https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/locations/ to find a service center in your area as the next recommendation would be to have the television serviced by a technician.
