Samsung remote blinking red light

Okay I so I too have blinking red light. I've read the other threads and tried various trouble shooting methods. 

Unplugged TV. Turned power on/off. Held play/pause and back buttons to try re-pair. 

None of that has worked. I am very frustrated. Please help!

Have you tried replacing the batteries? Please provide the full model code and current software version of the television. These can be found by going to Settings>Support>Contact Samsung.
