I have a Samsung Smart Tv model code UN50J6200. Today my tv started acting funny, the remote stopped working. Every time I press a button it will say Not Available on the screen. Then a pop up went on my screen and said Contact Samsung with my model number and serial number, it looked exactly like some ransomware that you would see on a computer. I unplugged the tv and did a reset. When I turned it back on the pop up went away. I did a factory reset, but when I got done with the reset. I notice when I went to device manager it said mouse and keyboard instead of my phone for trusted devices. After I left the menu. I notice in the right top corner it was a tv moniter icon. I thought maybe I was tripping. So I get on Netflix to finish watching Stranger Things, the show paused then went to play again on its own. Then the contact samsung screen popped up again then my remote stop working. So I disconnected the **bleep** network and unplugged the tv, put tape over the camera. Then came on here to see can yall help me beat this hacker. They definitely remote viewing controlling my tv, never thought this could ever happen.

Every time you leave to go to school or work on your TV, turn off the Wi-Fi so the hacker cannot go through your account a privacy and stuff like that.

It's not a way of beating the hacker but it's a way for all your apps to not get hacked

@userHOyqDI3cQT It could be that your TV is actually having a failure. Did you try to contact Samsung support using a trusted method?

Yeah I talked to them yesterday, and did the steps to reset the tv. That didn't fix nothing. So I left it unplugged, as soon as I plugged it back in this morning the tv powered on its own and the volume went up 3 clicks. When I try to go to menu then device manager it doesn't show my phone listed, but a keyboard and mouse is connected to it. The funny thing is when I tried to do a factory reset today, it said it will reset my tv settings but not the network. When I tried to put in the 4 digit password code to reset the tv which is the default 0 0 0 0. The remote magically stopped working before I could press it in then the contact samsung pop up on my screen again. Then it exit out the menu on its own and clicked the volume 2 more lol this is crazy. I'm like has my wifi been hacked or something.
