Hi everyone,

I own a Samsung UE48H6400 television and recently bought a Sonos Beam soundbar. The Beam is connected through HDMI ARC with the tv. The Beam provides 5.1 dolby digital sound when audio comes straight from the tv. I discovered that the tv can't passthrough dd 5.1, so when using my PS4 or chromecast, the Beam only delivers stereo audio. Even when the original signal is 5.1 and all the settings are correct.

I found in several forums that a possible solution is to use a HDMI switch. I'm not really sure what type of switch to try and how to set this up.

Anyone here with experience with this problem who can recommend me what type of switch to buy and how to set it up?

Thanks!
