Trouble using Antenna with Full HD TV

I have the Samsung 32" 5 Series N5300 and I bought the Terk Amplified Ultra-Thin Signal Finder HDTV Antenna Multi-Directional.  I have attached the coaxial cable to the TV.  I have plugged in the amplifier.  This antenna has a signal meter.  To do the channel scan I go into Channel, then I click on Auto Program, then it gives a choice of Air or Cable or Auto.  I select Auto.  Then it says Auto Program Selects the Cable System.   Then it has analog or digital?  When it fi wishes the channel scan the TV screen is a fuzzy black and white.  It then shows a message that there is a weak or no signal.

Instead of selecting Auto, try selecting Air and see if that'll work.
