As I've seen in other posts. The volume gets stuck on my tv and won't change up or down. The picture will show it going up or down one and then it goes back to its original place. I've tried unplugging everything. Changing batteries. Factory resetting. Nothing is working. How can this many people have the same problem and there not be a solution you can give. I think it is time to give up on all Samsung products with this kind of service.

I'm having the same problem. Over the past one+ month, I've worked through ALL the fixes found in this help group. While they each initially worked for short periods, now none of them do. I can't even describe how frustrating this is in a 3 year old tv.

I believe my t.v. is only 2 years old. It would be different in my mind if I hadn't seen this a lot while searching but this is obviously a known issue that Samsung is not going to do anything about and the only choice I see is to no longer buy their products.

Same here.  Tried all the things posted and nothing fixes it.  TV isn't old at all.  Already had to replace the power board.  Might think twice on Samsung for my next TV.

I have the 2017 M5300 but don't see the issue.

Does it happen as soon as you power on the TV?

How often does this occur -- each time you power on after leaving TV off overnight?

What was the last source you had on the screen before powering off? And after you power on?

When this first happened I would guess it was a little over a month ago and then it went at least a week without happening again. Then probably another week but for the last week and a half it is happening close to 10 times a day and there doesn't seem to be any common occurrence. It just happens from wherever I am at that particular point. It has happened on both HDMI 1 and my gaming console

Have you tried the new firmware update released in late January 2021?

Exact same problem here. Works fine occasionally and then not. So many people are reporting this problem. Samsung has not offered a proper solution.

Have you updated your firmware with the latest that Samsung offered this month?  If this is not the fix, the TV will need a firmware patch for a sign language bubble on the screen as it must be a failure of the motherboards.  If that is the case, put it in the closet until the class action suit gives you a new tv.
