WiFi and Firmware Upgrade Problem

I am unable to connect WiFi to my Smart TV Model UN50ES6500F through my new TPLink Router.  Everything else in the home is working.  Although the TV occasionally does see my router, the screen drops off before I can enter my password.  I downloaded the firmware and software updates, but my TV does not see any updated files on the USB.  Please help.  I have been working to resolve this problem for hours (days actually!).

I would reach out to the Samsung team here:

In the US? --> https://www.samsung.com/us/support/contact/

Outside the US? --> http://www.samsung.com/visitcountry

@userR7GuOLwtQY you may need to work through the troubleshooting for this issue:

If that doesn't help try diagnostics or a factory reset: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077524/

I pretty much tried every suggestion: Disconnecting and reconnecting all devices; factory reset; entering 8888. The TV usually sees my network the first time I try to connect.  If I get to enter the password before the screen disappears I get the message that the network cannot be connected.  When I retry, I can't even see the network.  I thought it might be that the TV (which is 8 years old) has to see the 2G network, but my router selects the best service for the device.  I'm connected to the DirecTV box  which is right next to the television.   Is it possible that the WiFi card in the TV has to be replaced?

Same problem yesterday with two TVs... UN50MU6070FXZA and a Netgear RAX15 wifi-6 router.    wifi connects but no internet connection.

Factory reset fixed it ...

Got a network miss this morning after the factory reset.   diagnose network fixed it.
