My BD-6500 HDMI output connection to my Samsung TV LN32D550K1F worked great for 5 years.  Now I get "No signal, check connected....".  Did Reset (Hold eject down for 10 sec.), no joy.  Tried different cables, different TVs, different DVDs, different HDMI input ports.  Bad HDMI output port?  Never heard of one going bad.

I agree.  I was just hoping for a "magic button" that I had overlooked.  Thanks for your time.

Is the firmware of the unit completely up to date?

Probably, but I can't check it since it can't talk to the TV via the HDMI port.

Honestly I would recommend repairs on the unit. It's quite possible that the HDMI out-port went out, it's not super frequent that I hear of it happening but I have seen it a few times before.
