HDMI not working on HW-RC60

Brand new sound bar. Hooked up the HDMI for sound and have none! Hooked up to the optical and works. I have read that HDMI is the better way to go so was hoping I could get it to work. I switched to a different HDMI cable to give it a try and still nothing. Any ideas or is there possibly an issue with the soundbar itself. (yes I checked to make sure it was plugged into the proper ports.)

Was this purchased in the US? I am unable to find a model HW-RC60 in our systems.

Yes, I purchased it through Costco and believe it is made specifically for them and is the same as the HW-R650. Thanks!

I can find the HW-R50, but no HW-RC60. I do see the HW-R60C on Costco's site.

Did you leave the optical cable in when you used HDMI? Change input setting on TV?

No, I unhooked the optical cable and the input setting was set for outside speaker not tv speaker,
