How do I stop spkr setting from reverting back to Home Theater Spkrs everytime I power off then back on?
Recently acquired HT-J4500 Home Theater system and I hooked it up to my Tv with HDMI cable.
I updated firmware using ethernet. I do not have or want external speakers. I just want to use
my tv speakers when using the HT-J4500.
I wasnt getting sound when I tried to watch a dvd and found Settings > Sound > Spkr Selection and saw there was
Home Theater Spkrs / Tv Spkrs so I selected TV Spkrs and then sound was fine.
However every time I power the system Off it reverts back to Home Theater Spkrs after I power it on.

I tried CEC capable HDMI, real old cheap HDMI, turned CEC off on both units, ARC off/on , Quick Start on/off
and still keeps reverting.
Am tired. Am sending this system to Pawn Shop Heaven!
Thanks for all the effort you put in trying to help me!
Have a nice day.
You would have to check the sound settings on your TV to turn off the speakers on the television. Unfortunately, we can only offer assistance for Samsung devices.
The sound setting on TV is internal spkrs. I set the setting on the J4500 to TV spkrs. Dvd plays fine with sound coming out of tv spkrs. . . I power the J4500 off when am done. When I come back the next day I check the spkr settings on the J4500 and now low and behold it says Home Theater spkrs.
No. I thought I should be able to connect it with HDMI cable and play the dvd and have the sound come out on the Tv spkrs. Just like would any old cheapo dvd player.
The issue is why it reverts back to Home Theater and/or how to keep it from doing so.
I tried it both ways. With TV HDMI-CEC Off then On.
I also noticed there is a setting on the J4500 for HDMI-CEC. Tried both Off then On.
In every instance when I power J4500 off then back on it reverts to Home Theatre spkrs.
