Blu-ray Home Theater j5500w to Netgear RN214 Media Server

I bought this because in it's discription it stated network access.

I've connected it Wired & WiFi, but I'm not able to see my network server.

Note: I can see my NAS from my iph, ipads, Sony TV, Roku's, Dish Hopper, macbookPro(new) & my desktop PC.

I've tried the "Direct WiFi" and ONLY my Roku shows up. (I can not get my Mac to show)

any suggestions?

I'd just LOVE to use this to play my music.

I got it to work !!  !!

"do a little dance, make a little love. Get down tonight !! "

Woot !!  Woot !!

.

Ok.. the "change device" would not find my ReadyNAS Media Server..

In all my googling the past few days, while I was at work thinking about it..

I recalled a paragraph stating to create a DLNA on a router & OPEN PLEX so that a particular

surround sound search could find it..

---  so I got home, skipped the DLNA creation, but I opened my Netgear ReadyNAS 214's Plex App,

went to my bluray and opened the "change device" icon and BOOM!!

It was showing my "admin:ReadyNAS" (simple folders) and "Plex Media Server:admin"

---   The Plex  server would not play any of the .m4a files & it kept freezing up when changing folders..

---  The simple ReadyNAS Server worked Great, Played all the videos, photos, music, and changed

folders perfectly fast.

I hope / think the HT-j500 will remember the server path..

The blu ray player does not have the ability to run NAS devices. The network is used to run the apps on the device.
