Turn the TV off. Use the Soundbar remote to up the Woofer volume which will carry over when TV connects... when done, Turn TV on and TV resumes woofer control via equalizer but within higher Woofer volume range ...Soundbar remote can also be used by long press on "surround" and turning TV remote off... I didn't do that as I wanted to fiddle so I left TV off, paired with my phone, and played music while adjusting Woofer...
The problem is with the TV. Nothing wrong with the MS550. Put some of your favourite songs on your android phone, download the POWERAMP app
Have fun seeing just what your soundbar can do. You'll pay the £3.39 for the app. Cheap.
Pity about the telly though ....
Let me know if you agree.
My K550 also has this problem.
It seems that there is no solution to this problem.
If this subwoofer can't play its role well, it should be removed because it occupies a large area in my room.
If you want bass function, I don't recommend buying
“Woofer and Equalizer”
left bar to top
Adjust every bar to its right all the way down
this increases the bass setting to max = left bar and still keeps voice clarity = ALL bars to the right. Adjust the right bars to SAME NUMBER. I use -3. You may like totally down. Your choice
I know this thread is pretty old but I was brought here because I had the same issue with my HW-M435 soundbar w/ bluetooth sub. Although I did'nt find a solution here that helped, I was able to get my bass back by just removing the power cord from the sub for a couple of minutes and plugging it back in (sound bar off). I know it seems pretty basic but it worked for me right now and I can finally hear the bass just like how it sounded the first day I plugged in this system.
Hope this helps anyone else!
