I have the HW-N950 and it says the firware version is 1001.2 (I think) in the SmartThings app. When I check for updates in the app it spins for a bit and then tells me there are no updates available. When I check the support page for the soundbar, it says there is a new firmware update (1003, I think).
I'm having some connection issues and wanted to be sure I was on the latest firmware. How can I update my soundbar?

Did updating the firmware help anything? Many people seem to have more problems with firmware 1003.
Mine is still on 1001.
For me, it doesn't seem to have helped or hurt. I don't really notice anything different.
I just updated mine thru the Samsung Smart Things app on Samsung phone and Bar on Wifi. Go to the app and then to your Sound Bar in the app click, then to the 3 bars in top right corner to Information then Update. You should see it downloading the update then it install. Leave Soundbar on during this.

The first updating with usb stick was done perpectly on Nov, 30 2018 and because of there is a new firmware on Dec, 5 2018 at samsung centre ... I was wondering and did the second updating and plug in the usb then turn on the power on .... but there was no indicating like as before I did on the display and then turn off the soundbar and of course unplug the usb, ... the problem is ... when turn on the soundbar, it does not work via hdmi ... any solution or suggestion please ........
