Has anybody heard anything about Samsung dropping a firmware update to address some of the issues with the sound bar? For example, the way it down Scales audio from the Apple TV? I'm going to return it if something doesn't happen soon, it just cost too much for it not to work flawlessly.
Does not fix the LPCM downscale problem.
Update: It seems to have changed something. Some people say it's been fixed.
For me, when playing a 5.1 speaker test file, it plays the front left, centre, right and sub correctly.
But the rears come out through the front. Seems like it's getting mixed up with the rear and front surrounds. I can't rule out that it is a Nvidia Shield issue though.
There is a new firmware update for the q950t ver 1017.5 on the Samsung website. Released October 12. Smart things app doesn't have it yet , so you must download and plug into soundbar. It is a .msd file. I've never heard of that file extension. And I can't get it to open to extract the .exes file to upload to the usb stick. Can anybody help with this?
