Hello, I got the exact same audio cut out problem with my Q60t soundbar when connected to my QLED Q80t. 49inch TV with hdmi. But my firmware is on the latest version according the dutch samsung website: 1001.8.
Which version are you on?

Yeah I see the new update on the website, but SmartThings isn't showing it for me either. I don't have a micro-usb stick either, so I'm a bit out of luck. No idea why they'd put a micro-usb port on this thing.
Have you guys had any luck? I tried the firmware update, and I still experience audio drops. I get them like every third or 4th movie on average. It's one drop, for a second or less.
At this point, what do we do, just live with it?
Seems ridiculous that Samsung won't help us. Aren't these soundbars under warranty for a year?

I just updated to the latest 1017.5 and still have the dropouts. They happen every few seconds with my Nintendo Switch though - basically makes gaming on it unplayable.
I really don't know what to do about it. There's a warranty, but they wanted me to ship the soundbar to a repair depot even though it's clearly a firmware issue.
