Q80 soundbar/mesh wifi router conflict

I was just about to buy the Q80 TV and Q80 soundbar. After reading many user reviews, it appears there's an issue with soundbar/subwoofer connection and surround speaker connections/static caused by wifi interference. We use a Netgear Orbi mesh router so the backhaul frequency is in the upper 5Ghz range, and the Orbi backhaul channel cannot be changed. Anybody else here have this issue and have a solution? Really want to use this combo and avoid the huge, boxy AV receiver/wired speakers solution.

Re: Q80 soundbar/mesh wifi router conflict

I'm having the same issue with my Orbi and the Samsung HW-Q90R. I get crackling in the surround speakers. I know it's a wireless interference issue because I can get the speakers to drop almost every time I run a speedtest.net test.

Is there a way to change the channel that these soundbars operate on?

I've changed all of the channels on the Orbi and there has been zero improvement.

Fyi, I solved this by lowering the transmission power on the 5ghz band from 100% to 50% under the advanced wireless settings on the Orbi.
