I am very disappointed in the tiny subwoofer supplied with the Q990B soundbar.

I have had the bar now for over a year and fully understand about positioning etc. tried all different ways of turning the volume up either with remote, the app and my QA85QN TV settings which is connected to QSymphony.

It all comes down to the underpowered subwoofer, it just has no punch, i just cannot understand why Samsung hasn't made room to expand the bars capability either with the provision to add another by Wi-Fi or just a sub out connection.

Has anyone had any luck adding another Sub to this Bar? I have tried everything, even taking the P/S and Amp plate off and screwing it to a bigger speaker but that didn't work as there is no volume dial on the amp.

One thing you can do besides turning on bass boast and turning the eq up is move the bass module to the back of the room behind a couch and run auto turning. The idea is make the module as least hearable as possible so when your run the calibration the mic turns it up as loud as possible to hear it. Then once it completed then unplug and place it in the front and this will really increase your bass

Well i have tried everything but i cannot get auto eq to work, the sub makes a low sound and it gets to 2% sometimes 4% then fails, ive tried it in lots of places round the room, no noise, even tried putting it under heaps of pillows.... but fails every time, i was reading on reddit and they said it could be a faulty sub... would explain why it is not loud??
