I'm having terrible trouble trying to get accurate info on this... I'm looking at the Q990c to pair with my S90C and Nvidia Shield.

If I connect them Shield > S90C > Q990c, will the soundbar play Dolby TrueHD?

Hello! Thank you for reaching out! To get the TrueHD sound to go through the soundbar you will need to use the soundbar as the pass-through. I think the way you mean is the shield connected to the soundbar, and from the soundbar to the TV.

There should be 3 HDMI ports on your soundbar. 2 is for external devices and 1 is to be connected to the TV.

I have the bar now and the TV does appear to passthrough TrueHD. When played this way, the bar shows "dolby atmos" on its display. My understanding is that if it being down-mixed, it would no longer be atmos.

Can anyone confirm this?

Hello! I want to look into this further. Can you provide me with your full model number? Also, does this happen across all sources? Not all sounds will play via dolby atmos.
