Home TheaterFirst, I'm really glad that you guys listen our report and partially fix Dolby Atmos(Dolby MAT 2) bug.
Previously, on Xbox when playing a non-Atmos game with Standard sound mode the subwoofer didn't work as intended. If I switch to surround/game/adaptive sound mode, the center channel sound was missing and wrong speaker allocation. The soundbar only worked for those native-Atmos games.
The 1010 firmware update does partially fix the Dolly Atmos Home Theater for non-Atmos games on Xbox. But it still has some issue.
Playing a 7.1ch game with Dolby Atmos Home Theater setting, it works well now.
Playing a 5.1ch game with Dolby Atmos Home Theater setting, there is no sound comes out from those two satellite speakers no matter what sound mode I choose. <<<This is the issue.
In comparison, playing a 5.1ch game with 7.1 uncompressed audio setting on Xbox and using Surround/Adaptive/Game Pro sound mode, those side-firing drivers on satellite speakers will output surround sound.
I've tested with both HDMI IN and eARC and got the same result.
Also, with 5.1 LPCM I hope the surround sound be outputed by satellite speakers instead of surround speakers on the bar.

Home Theater7.1 is not working well too, it is just turning into 5.1...
5.1 makes no sound from two satellite speakers.

Home TheaterAlso did not fix the rear speaker dropping out form pairing mode. Samsung will not acknowledge their is an issue. They said send it for repair but from what I have heard you may not get it back fixed and maybe other issues with it after they get done with it including dents and scratches. Had/Have 2 different 990Bs and both do the same thing left rear pairing dropouts. No matter how many times you Set ID or initialize it in any combination and all the how to the issue is still there. The New Firmware 1010.0 I think made it worse. I am done with Samsung. Also I tuned off all WIFI routers to make sure that it was not interference from the router. It still disconcerts with blue flashings light. Samsung did send me another left read speaker but that did not solve the issue. Do not buy another one from Samsung their QC is bad.

Home TheaterUpdate I figured out how to make my own post for my issues with my soundbar so I no longer need to partially hijack this thread.
I cannot figure out how to make a post to ask for help. I have spent a long while looking. Hours. I have a couple of HW-Q67 model Soundbars. A couple of issues that are really a game killer. First, I have a HW-Q67CT in one room, and a HW-Q67CT in another room. When I play sound though the HW-Q67 Soundbar it plays sound through the HW-Q67CT rear speakers, which are in another room. When the wireless unit is initialized, can I initialize it with another number to isolate the wireless frequency to only that unit? How can I choose the number for each Soundbar. Like 1, the other unit 2. Thanx. I don't mean to Hi-jack a thread, but I cannot figure out how to make my own thread.

Home TheaterJust Plug off all the unit in Room 1 and conduct below w/ Room2's :
1. Factory Reset (other wise, the soundbar will still remember woofer and satlites in Room1)
2. make IDSet in Room2.
3. Plug off all in Room2 and do step1 in Room1.
4. Check them.
ā» It's not just power off but the Power Plug off from the wall.

Home TheaterAlso, still having the Soundbar fight me with the sound dropping out, and have researched everything everywhere. I have one soundbar on a brand new high end Sony OLED TV, same as the other Samsung soundbar. it too on another high end Sony OLED TV. The new firmware number doesn't help. I did try some more things I found in these threads in this forum just an hour ago and will test that too. I have a lifetime in military aerospace engineering and more and this still is a pain. Can't imagine a non tech people person doing going insane with these issues

Home TheaterAtmos native games sound good now but anything not atmos is broken either the surround speakers don't work, it breaks audio when switching between speakers (spinning the camera around) or you have innacurate audio coming from both front and rear speakers (if not using passthrough) changing to dolby digital resolved but now we're 5.1 like others have said

Home TheaterI have a qn90b with the q990b attached and I've found all of the scenarios to be repeatable and still an issue with the bar either:
TV set to passthrough audio to q990b
Xbox in Atmos mode results in atmos games working great, non atmos games not (either no rear surround or when moving camera in circles the audio breaks in between) the Bar recognizes the audio as multich PCM instead of atmos (which it will without passthrough)
Xbox in Dolby Digital mode, accurate and functional 5.1 but not 7.1
OR Samsung tv set to auto instead of passthrough
Atmos content is recognized but plays rear and front audio together when they shouldn't (using atmos app test)
Non atmos content is still recognized as atmos by the xbox output, sound is fluid and smooth but still sufferes from innacurate duplication above
No road's lead to playing non atmos games correctly unless limited down to 5.1
Please fix!

Home TheaterI found when the game doesn't play correctly in atmos, you can switch the audio output to DTS, and it will work for most games. I made a list with all my games and what mode to select for that game.
Like Hogwards Legacy needs Atmos, and most older games (like bioshock) need DTS to play correctly. Selecting DTS for Hogwards is totally broken (missing sounds, etc). Selecting Atmos for bioshock results in having no surround sound (everything comes from the bar and sounds seem to be missing). The latest bioshock (infinite) and Titalfall 2 have surround with Atmos, but it has a "gap". Sounds directly behind you are not there. So for example having a radio play, and then spinning around so you hear the sound go around you, the moment it is supposed to be behind you, you can't hear it. Switching to DTX for those games and it works fine.
It's annoying to have to switch based on what game is played. I feel like channels are not routed correctly and this should be fixed by Samsung
