My new S90C TV doesn't recognize my Sonos Amp as an ARC audio device. I have been through a few chats and video troubleshooting with Samsung but haven't been able to find a solution yet, so I assume this is a software issue, but maybe someone else has figured out how to get these to work together.

I have the Sonos Amp plugged into the HDMI3/ARC port with no other inputs used on the TV. The HDMI cable is an 8K-rated cable that worked fine for ARC on with my previous TV (a 2013 Panasonic plasma). I have also tested with a couple other high speed HDMI cables.

The automatic device recognition identifies the Sonos Amp as a Verizon FIOS set-top box for some reason, though occasionally it will say it is an unknown device. The audio connection troubleshooter on the TV says there is no ARC audio device connected, and the Amp doesn't appear on the list of audio output devices.

I have tried turning HDMI-CEC on and off, resetting the TV, resetting the Sonos Amp. The Sonos is not compatible with eARC (it is ARC only), but changing eARC on the TV from Auto to Off doesn't make any difference.

I am currently using the Sonos optical-to-HDMI adapter which works fine, but I would prefer to use HDMI ARC, if only for the automatic lip sync and the ability to control volume without line-of-sight IR (since the Sonos is inside a cabinet).
