My sister-in-law bought a Samsung smart tv. I set it up for her. She has a set-top box that I connected to HDMI1 on the tv.
If I have the set-top box on when I turn the tv on and then press source on the tv remote, I'm presented with a number of options. One is HDMI1, but if I choose that, I don't get the set-top box. Another is Live tv/cable. If I choose that, I get the set-top box.
I don't understand why the above is happening and I don't know enough to know whether it matters.
I'd be grateful for any advice, since I don't understand much about these things.
