I recently reorganized the cords and hookups behind my TV. I have an optical cable connecting my Samsung surround sound receiver to my Samsung TV. I've always had it hooked up this way and it's worked as expected with sound for all connected devices coming through the surround sound. However, after plugging everything back in, sound doesn't come through the center speaker and instead comes through the TV. So basically my TV is now acting like my center speaker with the other surround speakers working as expected. I know theres probably some setting messed up somewhere but would greatly appreciate the help if someone could point me in the right direction.
Does your TV have the option to turn the built in speakers off? Have you tried different speaker cables? As rare as it is I've actually had some go out on me.
Im not sure, but does the main speaker have an hdmi input that is labled ARC? Tty plugging in an hdmi to the ARC hdmi oit pit on your tv and connect it to your speaker.
