I tried reaching out to their support on Twitter, and just got the runaround.
Was hoping @SamsungRei might have an update, since there were some posts in similar threads.
I see Samsung still haven't given any feedback, or even acknowledgement of this issue in the K8500.
Well, I guess I'm done with Samsung. And I'm just about to get a new phone, was planning to go for another Galaxy but I think I'll look at something else...
Same issue with me. European model now counting at least a dozen plus discs that bring up a message about compatability.
Tried a firmware update to be told that my version 1015 is the most up to date.
Pizzpoor service to be quite frank.
Well, I guess I give up. Not even the decency of a response. Great support for a disc player that costs hundreds of dollars. A nice bait n' switch. Support lines provide nothing but "turn it off and back on again" or runarounds.
Next TV, smartphone, and all my appliances, will not be Samsung branded.
