I had this refrigerator for about 8 months and most of our drink would get this weird taste after a while. We finally realized it’s the ice from the ice maker that once it melts it completely changes the drink taste. We mainly use our ice for ice coffee and it wasn’t until recently when my kids put ice on their water bottle and after drinking about 10oz/32oz the water taste was unbearably nasty just like our coffee since we got this refrigerator. We initially thought it was the coffee maker and spent a pretty penny in replacing our machine since we were mainly only experiencing it in our coffee which is what we mainly use our ice for. Has anyone else experience this ? The taste is that of a chemical/ metal like?! Please let us know

Kitchen and Family HubHello! Thank you for reaching out! If the refrigerator isn't new and the ice or water just started to taste or smell bad, replace the water filter. Once the new filter is installed, dispense approximately 2 to 3 gallons of water. If the water or ice still tastes or smells bad after you've replaced the filter, there might be a problem with the water supply. Contact a professional plumber for further assistance.
